Jonás Bisquert
Jonás Bisquert composes for diverse formats (concert, opera, dance, performance on location, etc.), working in various continents, assimilating the depth of different musical conceptions. His music reflects an authentic root enriched by active involvement in, amongst others, Javanese (Indonesia), Carnatic (India) and Arabic performing arts.
Jonás Bisquert teaches Advanced Rhythm for composers, classical performers and improvisors at the conservatories of Amsterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, plus guest lectures elsewhere, workshops and coaching for performers (orchestras, ensembles).
He leads Musicaz@Utrecht, a platform for refugee musicians in The Netherlands, connecting with local networks. He initiates creative local community projects for all ages.
As a programme developer at Gaudeamus festival, he designs innovative musical events, also moderating debates, seminars and interviews
